Cancellation Policy
All bookings (rentals or guided tours) can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. After this deadline or in case of a no-show, no refund will be issued. This policy applies to all our locations unless stated otherwise at the time of booking.
Bike rental
All bicycles and accessories remain the sole property of Holland Bikes. You assume full responsibility for the proper care of the equipment and will be held liable for any loss or damage. Any malfunction must be reported to Holland Bikes within 30 minutes of the start of use. After this period, any necessary repairs resulting from usage will be at your expense.
You are not permitted to alter or perform significant repairs on the bicycles, nor to sublet or lend them. Carrying passengers is prohibited, except for infants in an approved child seat.
Use of the equipment is at your own risk. You agree to comply with all cycling laws and regulations applicable in New York City, including but not limited to:
New York City Traffic Rules & Regulations
NYC Administrative Code (prohibiting riding on sidewalks)
N.Y.S. Vehicle & Traffic Law.
In case of theft or accident, you must immediately notify Holland Bikes, report the incident to the local police, and provide Holland Bikes with a copy of the police report.
You authorize Holland Bikes to charge your credit card for the rental fee and any potential loss or damage to the bike(s).
In the event of loss or theft, the following charges will apply:
$750 per regular bike
$2,500 per e-bike
You may opt for an anti-theft guarantee, which covers 50% of the cost of the bicycle in the event of theft, provided that a valid police report is submitted. This guarantee does not cover damages incurred during the rental period.

Each bicycle is provided with a chain lock, which must be used every time you park the bike. Always secure the bicycle’s frame to an immovable object.
All bicycles, including helmet, lock, and basket, must be returned to the original pick-up location.
If circumstances require returning the bicycle to a different location, notify us by phone or email beforehand.
If the bicycle malfunctions and cannot be returned to the rental location, secure it by the frame to an immovable object, take a photo showing its exact location, and send it to us along with recovery details by email or phone. Holland Bikes will provide a replacement bicycle.
Our retrieval service operates only within Manhattan and Brooklyn. Retrievals outside these areas incur a $100 fee.
You expressly authorize Holland Bikes to charge your credit card for any damage, loss, or additional fees associated with your rental.
You may modify your booking up to 24 hours before the start of the rental.
After entering into the rental agreement, the rental period cannot be shortened.
To extend your rental, please contact your Holland Bikes shop to confirm availability.
No refunds will be issued for early returns.
Returning bikes before the scheduled end date may void any promotional discounts if their conditions are not met.
The rental agreement ends once the bicycles are returned and inspected by a Holland Bikes representative.
Guided tours
Holland Bikes offers bicycle rentals and organized bike tours for individuals and groups in New York City.
Reservations can be made through our online booking system available on our website.
Our services are provided exclusively for personal, non-commercial use.
The resale, redistribution, or use of our services for any commercial or competing purpose is strictly prohibited.
Any booking made in your name or on your behalf will be considered as having been made by you personally.
The mere fact of making a booking does not imply automatic acceptance.
Holland Bikes reserves the right to cancel or modify the date or time of a rental or tour for any reason.
If you make your reservation less than 24 hours before the start time, it is strongly recommended that you confirm your booking by calling the local phone number provided on our website.
Holland Bikes reserves the right to cancel bookings made by customers with outstanding payment issues or suspected irregularities.
The price of services is indicated on the website and in the booking tool.
In case of discrepancy between the two, the price shown in the booking tool will prevail.
Customers are required to pay the full amount prior to the start of the rental or tour.
The following conditions apply to the customer and all members of their party during the rental or tour:
7.1. If you participate in a tour, you must carefully listen to and follow the instructions given by your guide.
7.2. Before departure, ensure that the bicycle provided to you is in proper working condition.
7.3. During the rental period or tour, you are fully and solely responsible for the proper use and security of the bicycle and must return it in the same condition as it was received.
7.4. You must not leave the bicycle unattended. When parked, ensure the bicycle is properly locked with the frame attached to a fixed point.
7.5. In case of damage to the bicycle due to improper use, you will be charged for the repair costs.
7.6. In case of theft or loss, you are required to file a report with the local police and provide a copy to Holland Bikes within 24 hours after the official end time of your rental or tour. You will also be charged for the replacement cost of the bicycle.
7.7. You acknowledge that you are aware of applicable traffic regulations and agree to pay any fines or penalties imposed for violations.
7.8. You understand the inherent risks associated with cycling and agree to participate at your own risk.
7.9. You declare that you are covered by your own travel and/or third-party liability insurance and agree not to hold Holland Bikes liable for any damages or injuries caused to yourself, third parties, or property during the rental or tour.
You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of the rental or tour.
After this period, no refund will be granted unless you have purchased cancellation insurance. In such a case, you may cancel up to 2 hours before the start time free of charge.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows, including late arrivals.
Holland Bikes reserves the right to cancel any rental or tour up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Tours and rentals take place in all weather conditions.
In case of rain, cold, or heat, no refund or rebooking will be possible.
If you wish to modify or cancel your booking due to weather, please refer to the cancellation policy above.
The safety of our customers is a top priority. Before each tour, our guides will provide safety instructions and information regarding local traffic regulations.
If you are unable to cycle safely or refuse to comply with these safety instructions, you may be denied participation. In such cases, no refund will be granted.
Participation is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety and any damage or injury caused to yourself, third parties, or equipment.
Holland Bikes shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, theft, or loss of personal belongings occurring during the rental or tour.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in suitable physical condition to cycle safely.
All disputes arising in connection with these General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York City.
