SHORT-TERM BICYCLE RENTAL CONDITIONS
Please note that during the rental period, you are fully responsible for the bicycles and must use them with care.
Preamble
These terms and conditions govern the short-term rental of bicycles provided by HOLLAND BIKES VELOMOTION.
HOLLAND BIKES VELOMOTION is a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered in Paris under number 442 110 789, with its registered office at 79 ter boulevard Lefebvre, 75015 Paris, France, and VAT number FR 66 442 110 789.
Article 1 – Condition of bicycles
All bicycles and accessories remain the property of Holland Bikes. You acknowledge having checked the equipment yourself. You have 30 minutes from the start of the rental to report any issues attributable to Holland Bikes. Beyond this period, any damage or defect will be considered your responsibility.
Article 2 – Liability
You are fully responsible for the equipment during the rental period. Any damage will be charged according to our repair cost list. You are personally responsible for any traffic offences and for any bodily injury or material damage caused to yourself or others while using the rented equipment.
Article 3 – Theft or accident
In the event of theft or accident, you must immediately contact Holland Bikes, report the incident to the local police or gendarmerie, and provide a copy of the police report to Holland Bikes.
Article 4 – Theft insurance (optional)
You may subscribe to optional theft insurance. This coverage is valid only in the case of theft and upon submission of the police report. A deductible may apply depending on the chosen plan. The insurance does not cover material damage. A detailed list of repair costs is available upon request.
Article 5 – Modifications
It is strictly forbidden to modify, perform major repairs on, sublet, or lend the rented bicycles, or to carry passengers other than a young child in an approved child seat.
Article 6 – Safety
All bicycles are equipped with a chain lock. Overnight, please store bicycles indoors whenever possible and always lock them. If you have rented an electric or cargo bike, please remove the battery at night.
When parking, you must secure the bicycle by its frame to a fixed object that cannot be moved or dismantled.
Article 7 – Payment
You authorise Holland Bikes to charge your credit card for the rental payment and any costs related to damage or loss of the equipment.
Article 8 – End of contract
The rental agreement ends once the bicycles are returned and inspected by a Holland Bikes representative.
Article 9 – Deposit
A deposit is required for all rentals in the form of a credit card authorisation. No amount is debited or blocked.
Article 10 – Late returns without notice
For any late return without prior notice to our customer service, Holland Bikes reserves the right to charge €50 per bicycle in administrative and reallocation fees, in addition to the extra rental charges.
Article 11 – Booking changes
You may change your rental dates up to 24 hours before the start time.
It is not possible to shorten the rental period once it has started.
If you wish to extend your rental, please contact your Holland Bikes shop. Extensions are subject to availability.
Refunds will not be issued for early returns.
Article 12 – No right of withdrawal
Under Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, no withdrawal right applies to services provided on a specific date or period (including short-term rentals).
Article 13 – Disputes
Any disputes arising from the rental contract shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Paris courts, France.
In the event of disagreement, Holland Bikes will seek an amicable resolution.
In accordance with Article L.612-2 of the French Consumer Code, unresolved disputes may be referred, free of charge, to the following consumer mediator:

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GUIDED TOURS
Preamble
These terms govern the conditions under which HOLLAND BIKES VELOMOTION provides guided bicycle tours.
Article 1 – Booking process
Holland Bikes offers guided bicycle tours in Paris and Nice, bookable via an online reservation system.
Article 2 – Contract
The services are for personal and non-commercial use only.
Reselling the service or using it for any commercial purpose is prohibited.
Article 3 – Name on reservation
Each reservation made in your name is considered personal and non-transferable.
Article 4 – Reservation confirmation
A pre-booking or booking is not automatically accepted. Holland Bikes reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours for any reason.
For bookings made less than 48 hours before the tour, please confirm by calling the local number provided on our website.
Article 5 – Cancellation
You may cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund.
Holland Bikes reserves the right to cancel bookings in case of payment disputes or suspected irregularities.
Article 6 – Prices
Prices are displayed on the website and in the booking tool.
In case of discrepancy, the booking system price shall prevail.
Payment must be made at the time of booking.
Article 7 – Conditions during the tour
7.1. You must follow the guide’s instructions carefully.
7.2. Check the bicycle’s condition before the tour begins.
7.3. You are responsible for safe and proper use of the bicycle during the tour.
7.4. Do not leave the bicycle unattended. In case of a break or incident, hand it to the guide.
7.5. Damages resulting from misuse will be charged.
7.6. In case of loss or theft, file a police report within 24 hours and provide a copy to Holland Bikes.
7.7. You are aware of local traffic rules and accept all related fines or penalties.
7.8. You acknowledge the inherent risks of cycling and participate at your own risk.
7.9. You confirm you are adequately insured and will not hold Holland Bikes liable for any injury or damage.
Article 8 – No right of withdrawal
Under Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, there is no right of withdrawal for leisure activities scheduled for a specific date.
Article 9 – Disputes
All disputes are governed by French law and fall under the jurisdiction of the Paris courts.
Holland Bikes will first seek an amicable solution.
