We had a superb tour of Paris on comfy Dtuch bikes, hosted by Ellen. Her calmness helped the mixed age and nationality group weave around the sites. I think we were all a little anxious before setting out! But we more than survived, we conquered a fear, burnt off some of those French cheese calories and benefitted from the new cycle lanes added for the Paris Olympics. Just the right amount of info, pace and stops built in, I can't recommend this tour highly enough as a way of seeing the main sites of Paris, especially with teenage boys.

Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. If u are nervous about traffic and unsure about your fitness I do not recommend. But I'm 62 and not overly fit and it was not hard for me. Its a chance to get up close to the historic sites and monuments.

It was quite good experience. The first problem I encountered was that I did not receive the confirmation email, so I had to call and send several emails. After receiving the bike, I found that the seat adjustment lock was not working, and I wanted to add a basket, but unfortunately, there is no one to solve small problems. Everything is online.
I hope to see someone help us next time.

I initially was very frustrated because I rented a bike and never received the information. I realized I had sent the wrong email and that is the only way you receive your booking. I got speedy help through the company email (response time was within an hour at first, then minutes with further communication) and they sent my booking. The bike was well worth the money and I enjoyed it very much. Recommend not buying on a whim though because if I wasn't able to utilize my same day booking there is so returns or refunds for purchases within 24 hrs of appt. However, I did enjoy my time and makes me want to rent again. The seat may need readjusting if your ride is long and bumpy, but that's an easy fix.

We had the best time ever renting a cargo bike, i had my son on the back and Denten was super helpful and patient while I got used to how to ride it. He even rode out with us to get through the initial traffic onto the bike path so I could get comfortable riding the cargo. Very kind and would definitely recommend!

Check out/in was easy and I liked that the lock was zip tied to the frame. A quality bike. Gears mashed sometimes under load so it maybe needed cable adjustment slightly but not a big issue. Maybe it could have used a little more air in tires (it was within correct range though). An especially nice improvement would be a handlebar mount for cell phones. Overall though a good value and it worked well!

My bike's front light wasn't securely screwed on, so it hung down. I couldn't turn on the rear light. In the hectic traffic in Paris, that would have made me feel safer. Otherwise, I was satisfied.

We had a great experience renting bikes with Holland Bikes! Quick and easy pick up and drop off. The bikes also come with locks, but not baskets. We did appreciate the elastic ties on the back that could hold things safely on the back. Overall, we were so happy we rented these bikes. In the past, I have used Velib bikes and it was a nightmare trying to find working bikes for a group of 3 people. This trip we had 6 people and Holland bikes were perfect for our group.

Amazing tour. Michael was great, relaxed, knowledgeable, and really worked to understand what we wanted. I learnt more on this tour about New York than I'd learnt from two previous visits! I loved the bikes, really enjoyed central park, and was really bowled over by some dof the sites, particularly the memorial to John Lennon! Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our bike ride around Central Park with Holland Bikes. The whole team were very friendly and welcoming and Mike our guide was excellent. My wife was a little worried about cycling from the office to Central Park but Mike was very attentive and took great care of are of us for the short ride to the park itself. Once inside it was a stress free and loads of fun! I recommend the e-bikes (it was our first experience with them) and it made the ride almost effortless.

I don't know if I should type this in Dutch or English...... I'll go with English because everybody would love this.
We took the Central Park tour today with our guide Herman. Herman speaks Dutch, he is Dutch and of course speaks English very well as they all do in the Netherlands.
The tour, it was great to get out on a bike in New York. Central park is a big place and walking it would take a fair amount of time so biking it was a no brainer. Herman was great, an incredibly friendly guy as they all are at the shop and had great knowledge of the park and Manhattan. We were very lucky to be the only ones on our tour as it's very early in the season but the weather was perfect for a bike ride.
The bike....Dutch of course cycled flawlessly, well maintained and with a belt drive made no noise whatsoever. They have the choice of a good old fashioned leg powered bike or a modern assisted bike. We went with leg power cause it's good for you but if hills aren't your thing take the assisted one.
The ride is an easy going 2.5 hour ride stopping frequently for an explanation of where we are and of course a photo moment.
A short city break in New York is busy so being able to see Central Park in a few hours is a bonus, it gives you more time to see the rest of Manhattan and the surrounding area.
When booking the tour the site is easy to follow. Choose your language, your tour and of course the type of bike you need and you are set to go.

Sunday 5th October we had a great experience cycling for 21/2 hours through New York with Michael. He led us to a lot of places where we otherwise never should have come. Going on the bike is a pleasant way of exploring New York as a tourist who there never had been before. Al together it was a great fun, and it is advisable to everybody coming to New York to go with Holland Bikes if you enjoy cycling. Must go! We had a great trip to New York which we ended with this brilliant bike tour for six. Our guide, Eric, was wonderful! He adjusted the tour specifically to our liking, keeping in mind which places we visited before and even made our preferred coffeestop. Eric’s knowledge of historic and recent venues is really impressive. You really experience the city in a different way by bike. What was extra special is crossing the Brooklyn Bridge (twice!). Since the bikes are electric you cover large distances with ease. The new Gazelle’s were so pleasant to ride, we’re looking to get one ourselves! Thanks for the great tour!

This tour company is fabulous, highly recommend. We had a most beautiful guided tour throughout all of lower Manhattan and wonderful areas of Brooklyn on very luxurious “Mercedes” bikes. Very nice bikes with squishy leather seats, leather handles, and multiple e-bike “drive modes.” These bikes, and the overall tour, were excellent. Our group had an amazing time, RECOMMEND!

As a family we rented six bikes from Holland Bikes on Ile de Ré. We arrived on a Saturday which is a particularly busy day on the Island, but the communication was good, the drop off was smooth and the bikes were all pristine.
On the second day we had an issue with a broken chain and Dan who was extremely helpful came out in a van to us and exchanged it for a brand new one, with zero fuss and with us not having to wait at all.
We can't think of a better way to see Ile de Ré and would highly recommend Dutch Bikes!

Highly recommend this city tour on bikes around Bordeaux. Had a wonderful time with guide Daniel who shared his passion for this beautiful city by bringing us to both common historical sights and lesser known areas that we would never have found! Daniel shared interesting facts and funny anecdotes as we stopped at focal points. I rented an e-bike but really could have done the trip on a regular bike as the trip is 99% flat. Had a wee stop for coffee in the Darwin area of the city as well. If there is one thing to do in Bordeaux, this is what I recommend! Best way to get an overview of the city.

We often rent e-bikes on vacation to explore more ground than we could on foot, and Holland Bicycle Rentals at Versailles was an excellent choice for our visit.
The staff were genuinely kind and accommodating, making the rental process smooth and pleasant. Their location is very accessible by public transportation, which made getting there hassle-free.
The bikes are high quality and very comfortable. We covered the extensive palace grounds comfortably and saw so much more than we would have walking.
We also lucked out with gorgeous weather, which made cycling through the manicured gardens and tree-lined paths even more enjoyable.
We definitely recommend Holland Bicycle Rentals for anyone wanting to make the most of their Versailles visit!

Renting a bike from Holland Bikes for our day at Versailles was excellent. Ruben was very nice and gave us a number of great suggestions for our day. The bikes were set up before arrival, they rode great and performed perfectly. Getting around the estate by bicycle was much better than walking (it’s so big) or by golf cart (which appear to have a limited range and are slow). We got to see much of the entire estate by bike, , plus ride between the palace to linch and then to the Trianon. I’d recommend this to anyone.

I rented two e-bikes for 35 euros each for six hours. In comparison, Lime bikes cost 35 euros for just two hours and come with location limitations. The e-bikes had high-quality Bosch motors. We rode to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the coastal ride back, discovering a fantastic spot for a swim along the way. The staff was lovely.

I purchased two Gazelle ebikes through the Holland Bikes website and delivered to this location. Service online and in the Holland Bikes location in Nice, France was excellent start to finish. The team was great in their response times and did a great job in addressing all of my questions. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend for either purchase or rental.

Last minute decision to rent bikes for the afternoon to see the area. Easily booked online for a 6 hour e-bike rental at a reasonable price. Upon arrival the youthful staff (Sam) went out of their way to answer any and all questions. The E-bikes were fully charged and in great working condition. Would definitely recommend and will use again.
Tip- the bike path along the beach is fun, safe and relaxing.

I found this place through Google and chose it based on the good reviews. The service was friendly, and the bikes were exactly what we needed. They also had a few suggested rides available, which helped us plan our day. The complimentary bike basket was a nice touch and was perfect for tossing in a beach towel. We ended up doing a day trip to Antibes, which was a lovely ride along the coast. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience. Walked in and got bikes right away. Went for a few hour ride around Nice with my wife. I suggest getting to e-bikes if you are going west, since the lowest gear is still pretty tough going up the hills with the city bikes. The bikes come with locks which is nice if you are stopping somewhere for a drink or shopping.

The quality of the bikes and equipment is excellent, and they offer everything you need for a family outing, from child seats to trailers and more. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and clearly chosen with comfort and safety in mind.
The location couldn’t be more perfect. As soon as you're set up, you can hop on your bike and ride straight along the riverside path, right from the doorstep of the shop. It’s scenic, peaceful, and ideal for families.
Frank is absolutely trustworthy, incredibly friendly, and always gives us the best advice on where to ride based on what we’re looking for. His local tips have made each ride even more enjoyable.

Excellent service! We're old school, so we rented mechanical city bikes :) They worked smoothly on the 30 km we rode on both rivers' sides. I liked the automated lights. ^^ An amazing bonus was that we received detailed plans (routes and map) suited for our ride as well as a list with the best places to eat in Lyon (we tested one and it was great). So tourist-guide services were included and much appreciated.

Great bike rental sevice and Lyon is a great city for cycling. Good, comfortable bikes, cycled 140km up/down the Rhone and Saune over 3 days with no issues. Our Holland bikes contact (Frank) was very helpful and gave is good tips on food and things to see in Lyon. Highly recommended

We rented a group of 9 bikes from Holland Bikes this week and had a great experience. Frank was professional and flexible, helpfully communicative and it was a great way to see Leon. We didn’t book early enough to do a tour, but it gave us a lot of flexibility to see the park, ride along the wide bike paths along the River, and stop for lunch. A great experience at a really reasonable price for the day!

Warning: One bike's seat fell off at the last minute, and we couldn't adjust the height.

Thanks to the store owner for fixing my Gazelle bike, which was too high for my legs, in no time and for free. Now I can finally enjoy some nice rides. The Bern bike helmet I bought is also excellent quality and very pretty. We will be happy to come back to choose two new bikes.
